The Text2Email feature allows users to send text messages directly to email addresses, making it easy to bridge communication between SMS-based systems and email-based systems. This feature is especially useful for sending quick updates, notifications, or support messages to customers or team members who prefer receiving email communication.
How to Configure a Text2Email Campaign
Follow these simple steps to set up and customize your Text2Email campaign:

Log In to Your Account
Access your business texting platform by logging into your account dashboard. -
Navigate to Workflow & Rules
- In the menu, click on "Workflow & Rules".
- Then, go to "Inbox Forwarding Rules".

Customize the Default Rule
- A default rule is pre-set for text-to-email forwarding. You can customize it to fit your needs.
- Select the "All Messages Rule" to modify the settings.

Choose Your Shortcode & SMS Account
- From the dropdown menus, select the shortcode and the SMS account you want to use for this rule.

Set Forwarding Email Address
- If “Anything” is selected under message forwarding, all messages will be forwarded to the email address specified in the "Forward to Email ID" field.

Customize Auto-Reply for Opt-ins
- Edit the auto-reply message that will be sent when a subscriber opts in to your campaign via SMS.

Enter Recipient Email Address
- Enter the email address that will receive the text message content as an email.

Enable Email Replies (Optional)
- If you wish to allow email replies from subscribers, enable the "Email Reply" option. This will allow you to respond to subscribers directly from your email inbox.

Forward Texts to a Mobile Number (Optional)
- You can also enter a mobile number where the message will be forwarded as an SMS if needed.

Edit Email and Reply Templates
- Customize the email subject template and the email reply template for a professional and branded communication experience.
- You can also edit the Opt-out and Help response messages.

Save Your Campaign
- After all configurations are set, click "Save" to finalize and activate your Text2Email campaign.

How It Works
Once a subscriber sends a keyword to your shortcode, the following will happen:
- The designated email address will receive the SMS message content as an email.
- If you’ve set a mobile number for forwarding, the designated mobile number will also receive the message as a standard SMS.
