The Text-to-Join Campaign allows users to customize how subscribers interact with their campaigns. Below are the four configuration options and their respective use cases:
1. Single Opt-In
- Description: This option allows subscribers to join your campaign by simply sending a keyword to your text number. No additional confirmation or information is required.
- Use Case: Ideal for campaigns where quick and seamless subscription is key.
- How It Works:
- Subscribers send the campaign keyword (e.g., "JOIN") to the designated text number.
- They are automatically added to the subscriber list without further steps.
- Benefits:
- Simplifies the opt-in process.
- Quick engagement for time-sensitive campaigns.
2. Collect Data (Email Address, Name, etc.)
- Description: This option collects additional information from subscribers, such as their email address, name, ZIP code, or date of birth.
- Use Case: Best for campaigns that require detailed subscriber information for follow-up or targeted marketing.
- How It Works:
- After sending the keyword, subscribers are prompted to provide specific information via text.
- The collected information is automatically stored in the system for future use.
- Benefits:
- Gain deeper insights into your audience.
- Tailor communication and campaigns based on collected data.
3. Double Opt-In
- Description: Subscribers must confirm their subscription after initially sending the campaign keyword. A confirmation message is sent to them, and they must reply with a specific response (e.g., "YES") to be added to the list.
- Use Case: Ideal for campaigns that prioritize subscriber consent and compliance with regulations.
- How It Works:
- Subscribers send the keyword to the text number.
- A confirmation message is sent asking them to reply (e.g., "Reply YES to confirm your subscription").
- Only after confirmation are they added to the subscriber list.
- Benefits:
- Ensures explicit consent from subscribers.
- Helps maintain compliance with SMS marketing regulations (e.g., TCPA).
4. List Only
- Description: This option allow to create an empty contact list, which can later be populated by uploading contacts manually.
- Use Case: Useful when a campaign list is created in advance, and contacts will be imported at a later time.
- How It Works:
- No immediate interaction with subscribers is required.
- You can upload contacts from import feature accessible from Subscribers Menu option
Additional Tips
- Campaign Name: Use a clear and descriptive name for each campaign to easily identify it later.
- Forwarding Leads: Configure the option to forward leads via email or mobile if applicable.
- Character Limit: Ensure messages do not exceed character limits to avoid segmentation charges.
