The Text Enable Landline feature allows businesses to use their existing voice-only landline number to send and receive SMS/MMS messages through the Wire2Air-TXTimpact platform—without affecting voice service.
✅ Why Text-Enable a Landline?
- Maintain your existing business number for texting.
- Avoid giving out multiple contact numbers.
- Manage customer messages conveniently from your dashboard.
- Keep all SMS/MMS history for compliance and team collaboration.
🔹 How to Access the Feature
- Log in to your account Dashboard.
- In the left-side navigation, go to Text Numbers > Text Enable Landline.
🔹 Steps to Text Enable a Landline
1. Enter Your Landline Number
- Input your existing landline or VoIP number (must not already be SMS-enabled).
2. Submit LOA (Letter of Authorization)
- You must authorize Wire2Air to enable SMS on your behalf.
- Download the LOA form, fill in your business details, sign it, and upload it back in the platform.
3. Verify Ownership
- You may need to provide a recent phone bill showing ownership of the number.
- In some cases, a PIN-based phone call verification will be initiated.
4. Wait for Carrier Approval
- Wire2Air will handle the provisioning with the carriers.
- SMS activation typically completes in 2–3 business days, depending on carrier response.
🔹 Once Activated
- All incoming texts to your landline will be visible in the Messenger inbox.
- You can reply, automate responses, or assign messages to team members.
- Your voice service remains untouched—calls still go to your regular phone system/provider.
🛑 Limitations & Notes
- Only SMS/MMS traffic is affected—not voice calls.
- You must maintain ownership of the number during the process.
- Toll-free numbers must go through a different provisioning route.
