To comply with U.S. carrier regulations, Businesses must register their company (brand) and their type of messaging (campaign) to verify the messaging is legitimate and complies with current regulations. Once registration is approved, the 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) or local/landline telephone numbers can be added to the campaign to enable text messaging. Completing 10DLC registration typically takes between 3 to 5 business days provided all information are provided.

🔸 What Is 10DLC?
10DLC stands for 10-Digit Long Code. These are traditional 10-digit telephone numbers (ex: 317-123-0056) that can be utilized for both voice and text messaging. 10DLC is a regulation framework that lets businesses send application-to-person (A2P) sms messaging to local telephone numbers with better deliverability and reduced spam filtering..
🔹 Access the 10DLC Registration Module
- From the left menu, go to Text Numbers → 10DLC

Click Messaging 10DLC/Campaigns from the top navigation. - You'll land on the Brands tab by default.
🔹 Step 1: Create a Brand
Before sending SMS, you must register your business as a brand with The Campaign Registry (TCR).
👉 Click the red + ADD button to begin brand registration.
You’ll need:
- Legal business name
- Business type (LLC, Corp, Sole Prop, etc.)
- EIN/Tax ID (if applicable)
- Website URL
- Business address and contact details
✅ Brand Vetting is recommended for better throughput and trust scores.
🔹 Step 2: Create a Campaign
After your brand is registered and vetted:
- Switch to the Campaigns tab.
- Click Add Campaign.
- Choose your use case (e.g., Marketing, Alerts, Customer Care).
- Define opt-in/opt-out message flows.
- Associate the campaign with a registered brand.
